Strengthening peer-support structures for early-career researchers across Europe, addressing urgent needs for inclusion, resilience, and digital innovation in higher education and research training.

PeerPower is an Erasmus+ project (KA220-HED) launched on 1 September 2025 and funded by the Nationale Agentur für Erasmus+ Hochschulzusammenarbeit (NA DAAD). The project strengthens peer-support structures for early-career researchers across Europe, addressing urgent needs for inclusion, resilience, and digital innovation in higher education and research training.

Objectives

PeerPower aims to:

  • Train 50+ ambassadors to create more than 50 sustainable peer-support communities.
  • Support over 1,000 early-career researchers in mental health awareness, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Develop and deliver 10+ open-access, AI-enhanced courses via the eDoer platform.
  • Engage at least 10 universities and research networks to embed peer-support into institutional frameworks.
  • Organise multiplier events and co-creation hackathons to refine, co-develop, and share tools and best practices.

Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting took place on 22 September 2025 at TIB in Hannover. Partners confirmed administrative and reporting procedures, set up the communication strategy, and scheduled regular monthly meetings.
